More Easter

Nik and Mamma in the snow

...and there was one of us who ran out of steam during the last hour in the cabin.

Easter, part 2

Niklas og Farfar playing with the chicks

With 22 degrees below zero and 40 cm of snow we got a real taste of extreme winter. Global Warming took some days off...

Easter at Ål

I know and I blushingly admit to having been very sloppy in updating our blog recently. I will blame it on extensive private and professional travelling and long days in a new job. Since last post we have been to Norway on Easter holiday. Disappontingly, we had to accept that Niklas was a bit to small for skiing yet, but we still dressed him up for the outdoors and gave him a first taste of Norwegian mountain snow pleasures.

Not really that nice to be dressed up in all those thick clothes and the annoying Baby Bans

Niklas and Sebastian were all over the cabin at all times

There should be no doubt who this litte fellow will support in this summer's European Championship in football.
Ah...forgot. England didn't qualify... And neither did Norway... So I guess we will support the Czech Republic then.

(Yes, i have manipulated the date of this post...)

A very concentrated boy

Here is Niklas showing that nothing can break his concentration when he is giving his bib a thorough examination.

Back in shape

Niklas has now reached a stage where laying and sitting is sooo yesterday's news. It is all about standing now. Imagine how easy it was to put this boy to sleep yesterday.

Rotavirus!

Niklas had his first period of being ill. He has had some colds before but when he now got the Rotavirus, he was properly "knocked out" for the first time. In total, he threw up 21 times... To prevent him to get dehydrated, we had to feed him a special liquid, and it had to be fed by spoon. It takes time to fill up even a little boy when you feed him water from a babyspoon, especially when he is so tired that he falls asleep in the middle of the meal...

Standing in bed...

...is quite easy even when it is dark and it is a very effectful position for crying if you want maximum attention at 3 a.m.

...and Elise has been super helpful!

Cleaning the floor...

...feeding Niklas...

...and giving him even more food.
