A good heart

It is clear that the story of our youngest friend Jonathan and his heart surgery touched the hearts of some of the readers of this blog, and I have been receiving a couple of requests to post an update. Here goes:
As mentioned in an earlier post, the surgery was very successful and Jonathan is now declared 100% healthy! According to his father Jonathan's heart is now just as good as Niklas' heart. We will meet the little guy in a bit more than a week, when he is coming to Prague with his parents and his big brother, Martin.

(Unfortunately, I can not post any picture as I have not gotten any from his parents. Neither friendly nor sarcastic requests have resulted in any pictures in my inbox. Hopefully our camera will still work when they come...)

2nd visit tfrom Farmor and Farfar

Farmor and Farfar arrived from Norway on Sunday and will stay for a week. Niklas has been on his best behaviour so far, and has been offering both smiles and hugs.

Niklas has started to prepare for drinking tea with our English friends, and his pinky finger is already pointing correctly.

-This is how happy I get when I have thrown up all over myself and partly on my dad.

It has been a great weekend. Niklas is no longer living in his own little world, and he is now clearly looking at us and he is smiling a lot. This is unfortunately the only one we managed to capture with the camera.

When looking at pictures from last weekend, Niklas might look like a chubby little boy, but when compared to Vojta who is 3 months older, one can see that he is still relatively small

Niklas has a had a binge weekend. He has decieded that sleeping is not cool, and the best thing to do when not sleeping is eating. This weekend has been all about eating...

Even in the Supermarket...

There has been occasional naps, but only when he could occupy at least one parent by sleeping in a lap or on a shoulder. When put to bed he would only sleep for about 15-20 minutes. The big grin on AJ's face is because he knows he can go to the office on Monday morning

2 months!

Today Niklas is 2 months old and he smiled properly at Daddy for the first time. According to Lucie he has been doing it for a while, but as usual AJ didn't believe it untill he saw it himself.

100% weight increase

Another "official" weighing at the doctor's office. Today Niklas was 4380 grams. This means that he is exactly twice as big as he was when he was born, 59 days ago!
This is a big increas since last time, but the reason might be that he hasn't used the big part of his portable toilet for two days. Or as his mother says; "It is because he is full of s#¤t..."
